Report from SID Display Week 2025
SID Display Week 2025 was held from May 11 to 16 in San Jose, California. Hosted by the Society for Information Display (SID), this international conference is a key event for the display industry, bringing together researchers, engineers, and companies from around the world to showcase the latest developments in display technology.
This year’s exhibition featured cutting-edge technologies from leading global players, alongside active symposiums and technical seminars. It served as a valuable platform for exploring the direction of next-generation displays through the integration of research and industry.
Dexerials participated under the theme “Providing solutions for next-generation displays to address key challenges.” We presented our latest material and process technologies designed to support the evolution of display applications. This report provides insights into major industry trends and Dexerials’ exhibit highlights.

Industry Trends Observed at SID Display Week 2025
SID Display Week is not only a venue for showcasing new technologies but also a place to grasp emerging market directions. Through discussions with attendees and other exhibitors, several key themes stood out:
Acceleration of Micro LED Display Commercialization
Micro LED displays, offering ultra-high resolution, high brightness, and low power consumption, were prominently featured. Many companies presented related technologies, and the SID Business Conference included dedicated sessions addressing the commercialization roadmap.
Flexible Displays: Expanding Possibilities
Research on flexible displays was actively presented. Samsung Display unveiled concepts like the “Polygon Foldable” and “Flexible Briefcase,” highlighting the evolution of foldable OLEDs. LG Display also introduced technologies such as “Slidable OLED” and “Stretchable Display” targeting automotive applications, demonstrating growing interest in flexible form factors (source 1, source 2).
Rise of Sustainable Display Technologies
Sustainability was a major theme this year, with a focus on energy-saving designs, recyclable materials, and environmentally conscious manufacturing processes. This reflects a broader industry shift toward reducing environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle.
These trends underscore a transition in the display industry—from a focus on performance alone to an emphasis on practicality and sustainability.
Dexerials’ Display Solutions for the Next Generation
To support the advancement of display technologies, Dexerials offers solutions from both materials and process perspectives. At SID Display Week 2025, our exhibit centered on anisotropic conductive film (ACF) optimized for Micro LED chip mounting, addressing the latest demands such as fine-pitch bonding and transparent displays.
A key highlight was our pre-cut particle-arrayed ACF (Array Fix). We provided detailed product explanations, demonstrated bonding examples, and showcased samples to offer a clear understanding of its structure and use.
Particle-Arrayed ACF for Micro LED Displays
This ACF features a regularly aligned structure of 2.2 µm conductive particles spaced at approximately 4.4 µm intervals (density: 58,000 particles/mm²). It ensures stable connections even with extremely small Micro LED pads.
The product is available in both sheet and pre-cut formats. The pre-cut version is particularly effective in scenarios such as Micro LED chip repair or enhancing transparency in display modules.
At our booth, we illustrated the Micro LED mounting process using diagrams and displayed application samples that included ACF pre-cut to φ80 µm with 500 µm spacing on glass substrates. These samples simulated transparent display applications and attracted significant interest.
We also presented our development results at the symposium, introducing the “ArrayFIX” ACF designed for fine-pitch Micro LED applications and our pre-cut ACF technology targeting transparent and stretchable displays.

Looking Ahead: Insights from SID Display Week
This year’s exhibition reaffirmed that the display industry is undergoing transformation. Beyond high resolution and functionality, many exhibits emphasized sustainability, reflecting a shift in how technologies are evaluated.
Among the many advanced solutions showcased, technologies targeting Micro LED stood out. Transparent displays, high-brightness HUDs, and 3D applications captured attention as future use cases.
In particular, our particle-arrayed ACF received strong interest for its alignment with real-world challenges in precise Micro LED mounting. Discussions with visitors provided valuable feedback, including potential for process efficiency and broader applications.
SID Display Week continues to be a hub where researchers, engineers, and product planners come together to explore future user experiences. Dexerials remains committed to developing materials and process technologies that drive the evolution and practical deployment of advanced display solutions.
